Can anyone who has had to replace a bad blower motor describe the noise which one hears when it's starting to go? I went back to the dealer from whom I bought my '94 9000CSE, and he told me that he'd consider replacing it when I start hearing the noise all the time. I only have a 1,000 mile warranty, and I want them to fix things before that runs out. I travel a lot in my work, and it will take just about a week before my warranty runs out. But not knowing much about cars, I can't say for sure it's the blower motor. I described the noise to the guy who sold me the car, and he said that without hearing it himself he can't say for sure what it might be. But when I described it to his mechanic, he said it could be the blower motor.

It's a high pitched squeal, comes and goes, and seems to stop if I shut the heat, etc. OFF.
