I have asked Abbott for their comments on just that, whether to stiffen the rear bar or just go back to rubber on the front. I have "normal" 16x6½" wheels with P6000 tyres and am worried about stiffening things up too much. I don't want to go to 17" wheels/skinny tyres because of the cost, both to start with and to replace worn tyres down the line, and because I fear I will ruin the ride. I would also look like a "boy racer" unless I went back to dyeing my hair... However, I get a lot of torque steer under acceleration so something is under-performing.
So I plan to do the suspension and see what happens. I know you like your Bridgestones, but I'm alarmed that you can eat them up in 6,000 miles – the Pirellis last much, much longer, even if I find they "go off" when more than half worn.
Finally, if Abbott can do it I plan to get a dyno test to find out what power is reaching my wheels. When I went over to Wix in September, Ed told me he reckoned most 9000s came out of the factory with less than the claimed 200 bhp. Will report the results, unless they are too embarrassing!
