I'm afraid I'm not a good advert for tyre wear. Unlike you, I spend very little time on motorways and practically zero in London traffic. Most of my driving is done locally on A-roads and in the surrounding countryside. I accelerate hard and corner hard, and have ample opportunity to do both.
As a comparison, I had brand new P6000s on the car when I bought it and I've just looked up the invoice for the next lot and it was about 12000 miles later. And I remember I had rotated them to even out the wear. Of course, I have more grip with the Bridgestones (and the beefed-up suspension), so I can accelerate harder, corner faster, etc. Is it any wonder they don't last as long?
One of my Bridgestones (front left) was down to the limit when I had the fronts replaced yesterday, but the other still had quite a bit of meat on it (taking the Breakspear roundabout almost on two wheels before accelerating away is largely responsible for this). The only downside is that they're directional, so I can't swap them left-right to even out the wear.
One characteristic of the Bridgestones I have noticed over the last few weeks is that rather than "go off" as they wear, they seem to "come on". Their grip, in the dry at least, has never been better than in the few weeks before I replaced them. The new tyres, with a couple of hundred miles on them now (OK, so I did do some motorway driving today - the exception to prove the rule) are now starting to come alive, but as yet they do not have either the grip or the communication that the old ones had recently. In fact, I'm thinking of swapping them to the rear so I can use the part-worn tyres on the front.
Remember, these are the tyres I raved about when the first lot were brand new!
Regarding the dyno test, I have been intending to have one done as I think I'll be talking to Johnny Johannsen again for an ECU upgrade and I'd like to be able to quantify the difference. I had thought of looking around locally, but if Abbott could do it, that sounds a pretty good idea.
