get it. Just make sure it works. These things fail at unlikely times, and furthermore it is always handy to have it as a control reference to single out problems that might be or not attributed to the DI.
There have been a lot of postings on reliability of auto trannies on this board. just do a search. Seems like maintenance and sensible handling is key (e.g. no WOT upshifts). For my, I have a '92 2.3FPT (200 bhp), and a '95 3.0V6 (210 bhp), 170 K miles and 100 k Miles respectively on them. Both original auto trannies, shifting smooth as ever.
You know, this '92 FPT auto is a beast, no turbo lag, goes like a cruise missile.
