Very seldom is wall construction done of lath and plaster. Some of that in the bigger metro areas in cost no object construction but we use what is called drywall. The stuff comes in 1/2" and 5/8" thicknesses, is a sandwich of dry gypsum compressed by an outer layer of paper. The rotozip is a high speed (like a small router) motor tool which some nicely made special drill bits were made that throw the dust away from you and the motor. It cuts the drywall, paneling, solid wood, ceramic tile all with specialty bits for that material. Then they came up with a quick attach 90° adapter for sanding . Oh, yeah: SAAB SAAB
