Lets face it folks, you can get the top model of a Civic, ZX-2, Neon, or whatever you want and it's still probably less than $20,000 with every bell and whistle installed. So what's that come to about $325 per month. Now have these same young guys/gals look over at the SAAB Dealer and see how far $20,000 will take them. Last I checked SAAB's couldn't be bought for less than $28-30 grand easily(new that is). How many people under the age of 23 for example can afford a new car for say $30,000 if now more. Don't even start thinking about the SAAB Aero type models cause they are all over $35 grand that I know of. Not many that I know of, and most of the so called "rice car" crowd is under 25 for sure. Once you get older than that you begin to find these things to be if you will SILLY and then move up to something alot nicer cause you can now afford it, or you have higher priorities in life now or aren't interest all together. Just the other day I was down in central Florida and out of no where came this car, this rice mobile, this, this...it was a Chevy Lumina 4 door mid 90's model with complete fart can exhaust and dropped to the ground with big spoiler on trunk and plenty of stickers. My first though was, when did they start making performance parts for Chevy Lumina's ??
I always smile when I see these funny things,
Phil
