> Though correct about power dissipation in an electrical circuit being proportional to (voltage across the bulb) * (current going through the bulb)
Not only is it "proportional to", but isn't it in fact "equal to" if the quantities are in MKS units? The correct answer for nominal steady-state current, given the nominal specs of 2.1W and 12VDC, is 175mADC regardless of the V-I characteristic of the bulb, right?
> Lightbulbs are NOT Ohmic and instead have a voltage-current behavior that is temperature dependant, v ~ i^1.8
Is the temperature dependence in the constant of proportionality, the power to which current is raised, or both? If the former, and the power 1.8 applies to all bulbs, then the constant of proportionality at spec conditions (2.1W, 12VDC, 175mADC) for the bulb in question has to be 12V/(0.175A ^ 1.8) = 277 V/A^1.8 , right?
