Here's 3 old fashioned cleaning methods.
1. Put about a pint of kerosene in the oil idle for ten minutes then drain and change filter. Fill with oil. Idle for 30 minutes. Drain and change filter. Then move to the frequent oil changes.
2. Drain the oil. Fill with transmission fluid. Idle for about 5 minutes. Drain and change filter. Fill with oil. Idle for 30 minutes. Drain and change filter. Then move to the frequent oil changes.
3. Use Marvals' Mystery Oil as a flush additive.
With any of the methods if the oil pressure drops (idiot light comes on) Shut off. Drain immediately. These are all tried and true methods used my the old guys when buying used vehicles and also a fix for noisy lifters in abused or neglected engines.
