Speakers do not need a certain amount of power to sound good. A speaker operating within the linear range of it's motor will sound the same at 1w as it does at 10w. The differences are in the ears of the listeners and in the amplifier. The frequency response curve of the human ear changes at low volume levels, losing some sensitivity at low and high frequencies (hence the loudness control). Thus, we have the thought that speakers sound better when you turn them up. Also, if you overdrive an amplifier, you are going to get distortion, but that is in no way a failing of the speaker, nor does it imply that the speaker sounds better with more power. What it does say, is that in order to achieve the sound pressure levels you desire, at an acceptable distortion level, you need a more powerful amplifier. It may say that the Infinity speakers are rather inefficient, but I'd have to see the specifications to verify.
75w in my car would be total overkill, given that with less than half as much RMS power, SPL can reach 110 dB with no subwoofer, and no frequencies below 80 Hz going to the satellites.
A good sounding speaker is a good sounding speaker. It doesn't suddenly turn to crap if the input power drops below a certain level.
