It's actually just 3 bulbs in the edu. Getting the instrument cluster out to replace them is a pain.
I have tried every variety of aftermarket bulb and I have never found one to work reliably. I have also burned myself with the soldering iron, broken the plastic mounts, lost the metal side tabs, been up swearing until late in the night. Had one bulb of three actually work...
Finally, I went to the dealership and bought the oem bulbs. They were about $3 each, but it was money well spent after the hassles trying to get replacements to work.
They are not actually the same bulbs that are in the ACC. The ACC bulbs are $15 each from the dealership (and there are four). For the ACC I used the mini (very mini) bulbs from radio shack, which I could twist around the holders without soldering. I did sucessfully solder a bulb in a seat heater switch, which is not a feat I am confident of repeating.
