Installing 12" subs in a SAAB is a hefty task. First you have to ask yourself is do I want to use my trunk? Are the subwoofers open air or enclosed type. Are you willing to cut and hack your trunk to get 2 huge 12" subs to fit without sacraficing trunk space. My advice to you is to get a custom subwoofer box to mount them in. This can easly be removed if you need your trunk space. It will, however be a very large box. You can mount the amps behind the rear seats and under the spare tire compartment.

Tweeters are easy install. It depends on where you want to install them. Are you replacing the factory set? That system came with separates and the tweeters were surface mount. I thought they were good but I also replaced mine.

Knowing what type of system you have already installed and your new tweeter locations would be helpful.

Through out the years, I replaces all of my factory components and speakers. I have 4 amps (1 mono, 2 4ch and 1 2ch)installed and a 3 way active crossover network. I have 4 tweeters, 2 6.5" midbass, 2 4.5" midbass speakers. 2 6x9's, 2 woofers, 2 4.5" midrange speakers, and 2 10" subwoofers (in a box; I wanted my trunk space)installed. Took years to install, little by little, but worth while. The system sounds great and it is a professional looking install ready for competition if I wanted to compete. Just a hobby for me.

Your SAAB came with a great system. You must be willing to drill, cut, and tear to get a good custom install. You also need great patience!! I'm thinking about installing a DVD System in the near future.

Good Luck!!
