Hi, Jan. I didn't remove it simply because it didn't say to do so in the instructions on the can. I believe the most important part to clean is around the edge of the throttle plate and around the bore of the throttle body, so I believe those parts were cleaned. I just didn't consider to remove it, but if it's so easy, I'll do that next time. I don't know whether the non-TCS throttle body is any harder to remove.
I don't know what's down that small hole on the electronic throttle body. I'm told it doesn't have a separate idle control valve, which is what is down there on the non-TCS cars.
Glad to hear your TCS seems more reliable now. Perhaps many of the TCS failures we read about here are simply due to dirty throttle plates/bodies. I know it's a maintenance item I have never seen specified on any other car.
