Drove the car hard today and while consistently going into limp the last couple of months when accelerating, I didn't manage to fail the system even once this time anymore.
Knock on wood. just wait for the ETS to break down tonight.
I cannot seem to find an AIC on this car. It just isn't there. Dunno what the vacuum line attached to the underside of the throttle body is for. Goes to the solenoid valve above the driver's side front wheel...
Can a plugged line there give the sympthoms: poor idle at start and later with selector in gear, and higher and rougher upshift of the auto???
The autobox is connected to the vacuum system, but I have no idea why or what that does. (hose connected to the main air intake goes into the front of the tranny.)
