I have been a long time Lexol user. I recently tried a product called Steuben Hama...something...oil, which was recommended by the owner of the tack shop I use for leather conditioners. This product is vastly superior to Lexol in terms of bringing new life to old leather. However, it slightly darkened my tan seats (they actually look better) and it doesn't smell as good as Lexol. In fact, I don't think it smells good at all. It also takes more work to apply.
On the positive side, the Lexol smell has eventually come back, a little bit of this stuff goes a long way, and my seats feel better than I had imagined they ever would. Also, I applied this stuff 6 months ago, and I am now just thinking it's time to do it again, whereas Lexol was at least an every other month thing.
