I would wtick with either no DRL or 'all lights on' DRL. For most american cars and some imports,
DRLs only light up the headlights, nothing else, not even the instr. panel so you can notice to turn your lights on at night when you can't see your dashboard.
In the 90's or so, many european cars, such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, etc. had all lights on all the time for their DRLs. The difference is that you don't have to turn your lights on at night since all lights are on.
But the problem with the SAAB is that the instr. panel light is always on even when the lights are off, so at night if you have the 'headlight only' DRL system, you would not be able to notice if you put your lights on or not.
At least thats the way it works up here, corect me if I'm wrong.
