I bought a 91 9000 with 72,000 miles seven years ago. It was a one owner car with a complete service history from the same dealer I bought it from. I even knew the previous owner. I've spent about $1,500 per year on maintenance from day one and that's probably about par for the course unless you do your own work. What you describe is all routine maintenance stuff, and I wouldn't be surprised to need to do some of that on a recently aquired car as some of the other posts have suggested. My point is that if you're going to get your undies in a bunch about something as minor as a serpentine belt, you probvably aren't going to be happy owning a Saab. Saabs, as well as all other European cars, tend to require copious amounts of owner "involvement" in terms of maintenance (and expense). If you want cradle to grave trouble free driving, buy a new Corolla, because a Saab isn't going to give you what you want.
