I just brought my Saab in this morning and I have a feeling my Turbo is buringing out. I wanted to know:

1. I think it is the turbo because of the smell that comes out of the exhaust and from under the hood (not the engine though,) am I right?

2. Does it need to be replaced or can I just have the turbo disconnected. Because it costs a fortune to replace.

3. If it can be disconnected what would need to be done (just so I can tell my mechanic so he knows I mean business

Thank you so much to anyone who can help me because I am freaking out about this.
