I literally taped and papered the inside of the engine compartment and painted the intake plenum, throttle section, top motor mount, engine hoist loops, block, exhaust monifold, down pipe, o2 sensor, ac compressor and water pump a bright silver color. Then I removed the DI and valve cover. I panted The DI silver and repainted the valve cover black. After The valve cover dried I wet a roller with the silver spray paint and rolled over the SAAB and 2.3 16 lettering. I then painted the bolts that secure the DI black and the visable bolts that secure the valve cover silver for contrast. The engine compartment looks great. I only wish I painted the tranny at the same time. Maybe another day.
