I just meant to unplug the electrical connector and leave the valve and hoses intact. This definitely achieves the desired effect. It was the method I used to use to measure base boost, before I came across Townsend's page that said to simply press the brake while accelerating to invoke base boost.
It is also how I know that Trionic will overboost for a while after reconnecting the valve.
