1997 9000 Aero.. new to me a 67k .. converted to K&N Filter and saw immediate smoother running engine, snappier response to throttle input at any rpm, and better gas mileage. When I first got the car... the plugs were gapped way to wide and looked old, sot hey got replace, but the gas mileage was still in the 24mpg on the computer... after the K&N filter it went up 2 mpg over the nect day on the computer.. a month later the car was converted to Mobil1 and within a day the computer started giving me 28MPG... I have figured my avg mpg by the trip meter/ gallons pumped in method the last three times and am avg 24-25 mpg. I drive mostly stop and go country roads, with little to no extended runs at above 65. I also am prone to quick acceleration runs. I am very pleased wiht the results of these two very simple and costeffect upgrades... At a 4MPG difference, ther oil pays for itself and the filter pays back over time.
