so, i felt under the turbo itself, and found this one piece that was moving around freely.....that wouldn't be the actuator rod would it? And then, there's this other thing, which looks very much like it could be the wastegate lever... In other words, i think that you hit the nail on the head about my problem. I don't know hardly anything about the specifics of my engine, and i have absolutely no experience with mechanical repairs, so if you could give me a kind of picture of what i'm looking for exactly, and what to do, that would be fantastic. Just to make sure, that is. I put a mirror under there and saw both pieces, and it's just how you described them. the swinging piece has a rod at the end of it, with a hole through it, and the lever has a hole that matches up at some point with the rod i assume. I'm quite relieved that this is probably the only problem. Thanks again.
