Hi,
I am still trying to figure out the mpg problem. To recap; the problem is that my speedo is gone (will be fixed tommorow after a trip to the salvage yard) and NOW I think that the gas gauge is a little screwy in the sense that its inaccurate.
My question is does the temp of the air intaken effect the mpg? I have been thinking about this because I removed the air box and have an after market high flow filter stuck in the 1/2 of the box that is screwed into in the fender side. The filter is clamped on directly to the amm. The filter does get warm, a little, but its the kind that is conal and has a"hole" on the top in addtion to the side flow entry. Also the EDU reads 16.3 mpg **when the speedo works** but even when it "works" it still oscillates a bit so that reading is inaccute. Further IF the gas guage is also inaccurate the EDU reading of MPG is probably not good. After tommorow the speedo will work and hopefully shed some light on the subject.
Please let me know how the temp of the air effects MPG.
