Can't figure out why my '90 9k turbo auto has not power...I'm too attached to this car to give it up...I checked DI (spark on all four coils), o2 sensor (new), AMM (2 from e-bay), cleaned throttle plate, new fuel filter, no vacuum leaks . The car will start but won't go over 3k rpm except for momentary spurts. "Check Engine" does come on but goes out after a while.
I pulled the codes and on two different air mass meters the fuel mixture comes out too rich (#12224) and I could not find any information for error code #12432 which appeared on the third amm. Supposedly the two amm's I bought from e-bay, came from well running cars. The problem goes away for two-miles after I disconnect the battery for a while (YES-for those 2 miles the car drives perfectly!) but then the ECU learns something that makes the car crawl. I would SO appreciate some ideas on how to deal with this. Thanks!
