I had the same, changed the sparks and things got worse. The misfire on idle changed to intermittent loss of power and shudder. Now I'm starting to hunt for a spare DI cassette...

There are numerous things that might cause this (starting from leaking valves),,, Some additions to previous suggestions:

Have you cleaned the AIC valve and throttle housing with carburetor cleaner? If the AIC valve is stuck this helps.
Gapped the sparks correctly?
In my case the things got more bad when I changed Bosch sparks to NGK,,, But you could try to change the sparks (use NGK!).
Does the Check Engine warning light say anything? If it's on then you might have some sensor problem (coolant temperature).
No vacuum leaks?
No dirt in fuel flow, you might want to try fuel injection cleaner...
When was the last replacement of the filters (fuel & intake air)?

But you might want to borrow (if possible) a working DI cassette from someone and try it... However try to check other things first, DI is quite expensive to buy for testing purposes...
