Anders, I did as you said, looked, and looked again, and still found nothing but the oil pressure sensor and the empty flange above it. I think Keith is right and my car never had a knock sensor.
Now this raises another question: What do the "check engine" flash codes mean that one gets when turning the key and waiting for a few secs without cranking the engine? I never found anything about LH Jetronic/DI cars doing this, only Trionic... from what I recall having read on the topic, the Trionic codes are different but I could not find a table of these codes for my type of engine control.
Anybody out there who has those codes? My "check engine" flashes 4 times, btw... said to be knock sensor-related but if I ain't got one...
