... yes, I am probably sort of blind.
When I removed the throttle for cleaning just an hour ago, I gave it another try and reached in below the intake... and there it was, right above the oil pressure sensor, and below that empty flange I had seen! From what I felt it does not have a bolt going through it but has its own thread, and it is connected to a shielded white cable with a 2-pin connector. But I still do not see it, not from above or beneath the car. I will have to figure out how to remove it in case I have to but that'll be a different story... ;-)
