All clear? Ok well let me elaborate.
Exhaust system is a good upgrade, particularly the downpipe, and going to a high flow cat. Beyond that, you mostly are just affecting the sound, though 2.5" or larger all the way through isn't going to hurt anything.
As for the K & N, some people swear by them. I suppose the older manual 9000s had kind of a funky rectangular air filter that wasn't too great, which one do you have? My car used to be an automatic, and thus had the long cylindrical filter, which I kept even after converting to manual. It seems just fine to me for 220 HP+, and others have reported the same. I know the K & N is only $40 or so vs a stock filter's $8 that you must change every year, but how much is the K & N cleaner? Watched a friend use that crap once, nasty stuff.. And I am in no way convinced they filter any better. But hey... shouldn't hurt, at least.
As for the turbosmarl duel-stage (hopefully they spell it dual, otherwise their brand name is really a gimmick) boost controller, I highly doubt it's any more sophisticated than what comes stock on your car. That's know as the APC, and it's one of the most advanced boost controllers, if not THE most advanced, of it's day. Now of course, it's been superceded by Trionic, but I think it can still hold it's own. The trick on your car, and other LH cars, is getting the fueling and timing curves right so that the APC never has to come into play to knock back the boost. How much is this boost controller?
A blow off valve is a bad idea on a car with LH-jetronic fuel injection (or any car with an air mass meter). You see, the air mass meter measures the volume of the incoming air BEFORE it's gone through the intake system. The blowoff or bypass valve is located after the intercooler, between the intercooler and the throttle body. If you start dumping air into the atmosphere after the air has already been metered, the system can and probably will get confused, because all of a sudden, the amount of air going into the engine isn't what the air mass meter reported to the fuel injection ECU. Use a bypass valve, your car will thank you. There are several that will handle more boost than you will generally ever want. There' a Bosch one rated at 20 psi (nearly double stock boost), or you can go for a Forge piston type which I believe is rated somewhere above that.
