computor- there is a position near the full throttle which enriches the engine to prevent detonation by using additional fuel to cool the combustion. it also has a position at the throttle closed position to cut off fuel to prevent overrunning at idle. If this is out of rig or not functioning your boost will be affected by detonation detection at full throttle position. You can rig the sensor with an ohm meter and/or test its condition. Do you have a knock detector? have you removed or replaced it at anytime - did you torque it exactly to the specified torque? that is important! One just can't tighten it down, it must be tightened to a specific value in order to report correctly the engine noise (voltage) to the computer. If too tight it reports piston noise and valve noise as detonation and if too loose it looks like it has failed(no reporting).
