Here's the problem I had:

Bo had sent me the straight tailpipe that should have fitted my car (88'9000 T w/Airflow)but, when I tried to fit the thing it did not and would not fit, at all. The problem was that the rear bumper has a cut out on it and the straight pipe was off towards tha pas side of car by maybe 10 inches. I e-mailed him and requested the curved section that my original exhaust had at the rear of it. When I got it, the fit was alot closer but not perfect. It was still off some towards the pas side of car but now only maybe one inch. I also have the rear muffler installed in a way that the offset portion is facing the rear of the car and the tail pipe is attacted at that end, the center section of the rear muffler is towards te front of the car. Got it? Now, although I know these rear mufflers can be pput on either way, and I tried both, this is the only way it would work, even though it was still off from the correct exit point by maybe one inch. The cause of that was the rear muffler wasn't completely straight, not matter how I fooled with it it would and did wat to go one straight. Probably cause the pipe between it and the center muffler was bent properly. I simply left it as was, and forced it up through the correct exit point about 1 inch away. I also noticed those rear hangers were kinda worn out and the tailpipe hung down about 2 inches from where it should have sat. I replaced them with some worm clamps(like those used on engine hoses) and tied it up that way. And just like everyone here my pipe sticks out more than it should, so you can see not only the polished part of it but, also maybe 1 inch of the raw metel as well. I suppose I could fix this by removing the tailpipe and cutting off about 1 inch of it, then fitting it back into the rear muffler. That would help I'm sure but, I haven't done this yet because I might then have a new problem, that being it not wishing to go back up through the correct opening. Perhaps?

See Ya,
Phil
