Mech. said my AC compressor was getting tired?

I had my '93 9000cs AC recharged the other day. I would have done it myself, but beings that it wasn't working I wanted to check for leaks and have it checked out, etc. I think it works great now (58 degrees F. at the vent on LO), and it runs strong too. The mechanic said there was nothing wrong with the system, just that the compressor was getting tired. Should I be worried, it runs strong right now.
Thanks in advance,
Kory
ps. Robert Kaplan, thanks for all your past AC help!
