Would be nice if that thing came with directions.
Extraction:
Remove the bracket with the bushing and put it in a vise (supposedly, you can do the alternator bracket mount on the car, but I couldn't).
Take the big u-shaped piece and stick the prongs over the mount bracket. You will see that the prongs hold the bracket, but the mount can slip into the "U". Loosen the bolt in the handle pretty much all the way and drop it through hole in the center of the "U" and through the hole in the middle of the mount. Then attach the round plate to the other end of the bolt with the provided nut. Use a 17mm wrench to turn the handle in a tightening direction. This will draw the bushing out of the mount.
Insertion:
Flip the u-shaped piece around, and you will see that it has grooves that fit into the hole for the bushing. Stick the bolt through this piece in the opposite direction as extraction. Line the bushing up with the other end of the bracket. The bolt should go through the u-shaped piece and through the bushing. Put the round piece back on and secure it with the nut. Tighten the handle again. This time, you are pulling the bushing into the bracket. Half way through, you need to stop and turn the u-shaped thing back around, so that the prongs are holding the bracket as they were on extraction. Also, for the "dog bone" you can do insertion with the u-shaped piece secured the same way as on extraction, but on the alternator bracket, the bolt is not long enough to go all the way through the u-shaped thing, bracket and bushing. Which is why you need to flip the u-shaped thing around. Also, make sure the nut on the end is well onto the threads before tightening the handle. It's 14mm.
I hope this make sense to you.
