Intermittent malfunction of the TCS and ABS

I have a '93 9000CS Turbo with Traction Control (TCS). It only has a little over 155K on it. Some time ago it began to act funny at slow speeds (>15 MPH) with the ABS cutting in intermittently. Then the TCS light on the left hand side in the TACH display would light up intermittently and the Traction control would actually cut in. It has continued this performance for several months now. I took it to the dealer and their quality manager kept it for several days and says he cleaned sensors, etc. trying to find out what was happening, but no solution was reached. The only offer I had was to replace the computer etc. for ~$6K, not an acceptable solution.
I've had problems with the ABS and TCS control light on the right hand side in the trouble light panel come on since I bought the car new in '93. Now those lights come on at times and when they are lit, I have no trouble with the ABS or TCS actuating.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, can they offer a cheaper solution that that offered by my dealer?
Thanks for any help.
Elinor
