More than once, in my old 99 and 900, stopped in traffic, ignition dies. Just drop her into first and crank the starter until you're off the road. Safer than getting out and pushing. Didn't somebody win an Indy or F1 race using this technique back in the sixties? Guy ran out of gas and nursed it the last 10 feet with the starter motor.
