well, there are two things that i would check. 1) that there are no problems with the RCA cable. although, if you can fade left or right then there souldn't be. leaving me to believe that it's the amp. there are a few ways that you could test it. i'm assuming that the amp is a 2-channel that you have bridged. the first thing to test is that the outputs are working. you can check this with a multi-meter. set it on ohms, check the readout and compare to what it should be. so this for the individual chanels and then bridged. if you don't have a multi-meter, you could try connecting up your back speakers to each chanel, but don't bridge them unless they can handle the load. non-bridged should be ok, as 300 watts max into 2 channels is most likley less than 70 rms per channel. if you don't really care too much, u can test one bridged, or both bridged, but that would reduce the impedence too much if they are just average speakers. but bridging one i would think would still be ok, just don't blast the volume.

i'm guessing that if there is a problem with the amp output, you'll notice it this way.

also, if you are bridging the sub, the load may be too much for the amp and it's finally frying.

if any of this works/doesn't work, let me know and i'll see if i can think of anything else.
