I have wired amps the same way in a couple of different cars and when you bridge the amp that is always the effect. Probably because your trying to use a stereo input into a mono output. The inputs probably cancel each other out. but if you only have one input you get full signal fidelity. If you want stereo bass you have to change the set up. ie higher power 2 channel (or bridged 4 channel) amp and two woofers. The thing is you will never know the differrence and that single 12 will be plenty. I am currently running an alpine deck and the factory clarions. I have a 12 inch box a fosgate punch 12 but have yet the splurge on the amp. I am either going to get an alpine (1 I saw pushed 150 watts bridged and the other was 200 watts single output) or a fosgate somewhere between 150 and 200 watts.
