I got my Saab back from the shop for some work. Drove it around for a week and one day it would not start. Pop the hood and the shop did not tightened one of the battery cables it was almost out. Tightened it, it started drove for about 2 miles it died. Called a friend he brought a fresh battery started and the reading was 12 to 14.3 when moving. 2 days later put the old battery (4 months old from Wal-mart) jumped it, started reading was 7.6 and died 5 minutes later. Jumped it again started died 3 minutes later. Put a good battery starts and runs good. Called the shop and he said the battery needs a slow charge. I put the old battery on my Nissan and jumped it and started and was charged and works good now. I asked the shop " Why would my Saab die after being jumpstarted? It should start run and charge the battery not strand me and why does it run good on a fully charged battery? He said Saab sometimes doesn't like dead or defective batteries and won't run until you do a slow charge. Any ideas?
