I popped my '96 CSE into the local dealer (Squire Furneaux, Dunstable) for a couple of "dealer-type" things, including resetting the SRS light I triggered while fitting an alarm, and looking at the windscreen sealing strip (the one on the outside of the screen that goes all the way round).

The strip doesn't look a very good fit (possibly another AutoGlass bodge) and lifts away from the frame at the corners. A cursory inspection by the chap who booked it in this morning elicited the comment that it may require removal (and likely destruction) of the windscreen. I'll find out for certain later today, but does this sound correct? I was hoping for a relatively inexpensive repair.

Does this sound correct?
