its a real bitch! with repititioin it becomes much easier though. I have great directions for removing it at the URL below. To do the repair you'll have to remove a lot of crap on the driver's side of the engine as well as around the front driver's wheel. Three NECESSARY itels will be: engine support manufactured out of 4x4 landscaping timber (without it your new mounts will be trashed), jackstands, and a good breaker bar. Liquid wrench would also be helpful.
If the tranny's off the clutch disc, slave, pressure plate, and flywheel should be attended to (flywheel should be resurfaced if you have the time)
Best bet is to find a used tranny in a car at a junkyard and remove it yourself - that way installation will be a piece of cake. I'm in MN if you need more help.
