I recently installed a JT 3" Downpipe and Catco 3" sport cat to my 94 5 speed aero along with a cold air intake. The performance is breath taking, the car will spool up from 2000 and I'll be in the red zone at 2400-2500 but the fuel economy in my car has gone down like 5 miles a gallon, I know someone might say that I'm having too much fun and flooring it, but I'm really driving the same, I'm starting to think that because the boost comes on so low that its boosting more then before thus using more fuel, even when lightly accelerating now the boost gauge is at the end of the white and almost into the yellow and even in second can reach into the reds at WOT, the fuel guage when cruising in 4th gear at 45 says 20mpg, is this right? I got 380 miles out of my last tank of Sunoco Ultra 94, and that was with 17.5 gallons so about 21.7 mph when I used to get 25. Is this right? I haven't adjusted the baseboost yet, could this be the problem? Or am I just stuck with having a fast car that uses more fuel...
