Well tires need several hundred miles to "break in" before you can make real comparisons. Yokos I've bought suffered from sidewall cracking.. and no recompense from the supplier.. not impressive.
Mxv's have been decent performers for me over the years, Pirelli's are better but not a lot. Don't forget tho that yer 9k is NOT the world's best handler.. nice driving, decent roadholding, but any healthy c900 will easily outhandle the thing given the opportunity.. and those can be left for dead by a surprising number of current production cars.
Moral being get decent tires and don't sweat the subtle differences.
