...I do know that the SCC trip computer was an option before it became standard in some later models ('93>?). Thus, I must assume it plugs into the standard harness, though it does share info with the EDU that the older analog-clock unit didn't (to my knowledge). The older unit was linked, however, by the "R" (reset) and "INFO" switches, and the photo diode.
Also, all cars in '95 were not equipped with SCC, as my owners manual shows both the old and new types pictured. For that reason and the fact that SCC was available for older cars (<'93), I suspect it must be a direct plug-in replacement.
BTW, my service manual for '95 shows that both have two harness connectors: an 8-pin and a 3-pin. If your's also has this 8/3 arrangement, I must assume it will be a direct plug-in replacement.
