... start all over again. If you buy used cars, you can pretty much count on it. The previous owner of the Aero said, "No, never had any of those problems (when I asked about the usual supects) ... if they weren't reliable, I wouldn't keep buying them!" I think that's the difference between owning a car for the first 80 K miles and owning a car for the NEXT 80 K miles. The 91 treated me reasonably well, it just got to the point where it was beating me up unmercifully - the turbo was the last straw. I think that car either had more than the stated miles on it, or - more likely - it was poorly cared for in its previous life. I think you'd do well if you spent $20 K on a used Saab ... that would get you a very late model, low milage Aero, and what a joy that would be. On the other hand, of the cars you mentioned, if I wanted low hassle, I'd be inclined to go with that Acura. The Japanese make wonderfully low maintenance cars. I just don't think they have quite the feel and excitement of the Saab.
