Did I dream this, or did I once hear that whoever sells automotive fluids has to accept the used fluid in return? If I buy engine oil
from my local NAPA, I think I can bring the used stuff back. I don't
do this because I have a friend who's an indie Saab mechanic that
has one of those used-oil furnaces to heat his garage. Also, we
have a 'Recycling Center' in town that will also take used oil, and
anti-freeze. With my latest failure at getting the brakes bled on
my 9000, I've built up quite a stock-pile of used brake fluid. I
have no idea where I'm going to get rid of it - it'll probably end up
costing me more than I paid for the brake fluid! Which is why I feel
the people that produce or sell this stuff should be held accountable
for its' disposal.
