When I remove the head, I notice a few nick marks on top of the pistons. I looked at the side of the head and the valves look straight. I think the nicks were caused by the hitting the top of the pistons. Maybe the damage is slight, but I dont' want to go back in a second time. I am moving in about one month and will lose my garage space. If I attempt to save the cost of a new rebuild head, I can run the risk at immediately after I put everything back or a month or two(when I no longer have a garage to work in)it fails. At that point, I will have to have someone do it. That would cost me alot more.
I just don't want to go back in. This job is very extensive.
Thanks.
Patrick
