On the intake manifold, beside the fitting that connects the BPV
and the stock pressure gauge, is another fitting with a rubber
cap. Now, you didn't say whether you wanted to hook this gauge
up permanently or temporarily. If it's just temporary, there's no
sense in taking the dash top off. I use a long piece of vacuum
hose (6'), connect it to that spare fitting on the intake manifold
and run the hose through the side of the drivers' door jamb.
Believe it or not, one can close the door with the hose running
through that jamb and it doesn't seem to crimp the hose or
affect the vacuum reading. I have a rather large (4") diameter
gauge that I just wedge into the plastic inside door handle - its'
thickness is about the same as the depth between the handle
and the door panel. If I were going to mount a permanent gauge,
I would probably use the same fitting on the intake manifold and
run the line through the opening where the evaporator meets
the firewall. It's a rather large opening and I've already snaked
a few wires through there when I did some rewiring on my
instrument display (EDU).
