Man, after reading about this so many times. I was really afraid of this job. All accounts are that it is such a big job. It is really not that bad. I expected it to take a couple of evenings. It took one evening and I even had time to socialize and eat dinner. It is 10:00 and It is leak checked and reassembled and the light is off. I did not get started until after 6:30 and was interrupted many times. I couldn't even print out Quasi's instructions and had to use Tom Townsend's instructions. It is a puzzle, truly, but not hard. Try replacing an evaporator or heater core in many US or Japanese cars and you have to remove the dash which is a bigger job than working in the aquarium. The96 9kCS has 90kmi on it. It was leaking in the pass. side aft most corner. The motor brushes were worn quite a lot. I am glad I did replace the motor as well. I will re-brush it and have a spare. The contacts look pretty good. Anyway, this is just my opinion, but just go after it if it is leaking. It isn't that bad. The worst part is getting the fan motor back in. I popped off a clipon the fan motor, but was not going to put it back on after it snapped into place.
