...do the old "IMHO" routine, but IMHO, the Pilot's are awful in the wet. My priority on the Aero is wet weather traction, and progressive breakaway, as I live in a wet UK. Pilots don't give me either. Yeah, the last a hell of a long time, but they should do at that price.
A very reputable mag in the UK (EVO) placed the new Goodyear F1s in first position, Continental ContiSports in second, Toyo Proxes T1Ss in third, and the Pilots lower than that duringa comprehensive 17 day test. Interestingly, the Bridestone Potenza S-02s that have wiped the floor with every other performance tyre for the last few years have been replaces by the S-03, and it came out very poorly.
I have experience of S-02s, Toyos and the Continental, and I would go with the Toyo on the Aero every time. Superb wet traction. A little noisy, and don't last long, but it's all about priorities. They were the cheapest on the test.
By the way, I am running Pirelli P6000 at the moment, and I must say I rather like them, but they weren't my first choice...another story.
All IMHO, of course...
