I have both a 1990 9000 turbo and a 1991 9000 turbo, so I can probably answer some of your questions.

The intake system looks quite a bit different. Use the one that comes with your new engine. I don't know if the 1990 intake will physically fit on the 1992 head. You might be able to swap the throtle bodies between the two intakes--I'll look closely when I get home.

The 1990 uses a throttle position switch (senses idle and full throttle positions) while the 1991 uses a throttle position potentiometer. I believe the 1992 has a potentiometer integral with the TCS throttle positioner, but I'm just guessing. That whole TCS thing has to go.

The AMM is different between the two: Bosch 013 on the 1990 and 012 on the 1991.

You are going to have a problem with the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. The 1992 didn't use one and the 1990 and 1991 are completely different set ups, both electrically and pluming-wise.

The IAC changes are also reflected in the Bosch Jetronic computer, the LH 2.4 versus LH 2.4.2.

It also seem to me that the cruise control sensor signal to the Jetronic computer changed polarity between 1990 and 1991.

That's just off the top of my head.
