Your silver anti-seize should work just as well as the copper, though I have heard that the copper is higher temp than silver. Takes a pretty good glob.
Another anti-squeal trick I read was taking a file and shaving off the very edge of the pad. Only 1/16" or so pad is removed, just enough to round the edge a hair. This prevents initial vibrations from getting started, and no squeal. Either method should work, and the two together would seemingly be more effective.
I've also seen stick on pads for the back of the brake pad. Would guess these are avail from any auto supply.
I use the anti-seize trick because it is quick and easy. I'm already using the stuff on the sliding parts. But I am nervous that some could come in contact with the rotor, and then I would be doing some serious sliding.
