I agree with Chris regarding the cool surface temperature. If the car has been in the sun the wax will streak. Streaks can also be caused if you use fabric softener in the wash of your car towels, or you dry your towels with a dryer sheet like Bounce. I have an Imola Red Aero and find it a challenge to keep looking good as the paint seems to fade quickly when exposed to the sun. At the beginning of the summer I use the Mother's Clay Bar system, followed by the Hand Glaze followed by Carnuba Paste Wax. For the rest of the summer I just use the paste wax, or touch up after a wash with Mother's Showtime spray. You'd think I was sponsered by Mother's, but it just happens to be what my hardware store carries :-) A great set of instructions for the obsessed can be found at the link below.
